RFDC Kids Art Program Project
These three art sculptures are inspired by our community and our children. Each sculpture will be planted at 3 different site locations.
Every unique fused glass piece will be created by children from the RFDC. These sculptures will be laced with the unique design of fused glass art that the kids at the rfdc will create.
In the kids art program the children engage in the fused glass and metal sculpture project, mixed media art to home and a collaberated mural painting on a drop cloth, that they will take to the RFDC after school program.
THE FAMILY TREE
Location of Sculpture: Del Paso Site
The trunk and roots of this tree signify Edmond St. Cyr Jr. and Ronie Howard who were the founders of the Roberts Family Development Center. The branches that extend are the many, families, educators, volunteers and sponsors that help guide and support the children of this program. Each beautiful unique leaf represents the kids blossoming and growing as they take flight in their journey of educational growth and self development. Click to see pics.
HELPING HANDS
Location of Sculpture: Richards Blvd. Site
The several different hands that spiral and connect together complete a thread of strength and power that people have when they collaborate together as a team. The ripple affects of this movement creates positive change and success in the lives of the kids, their families and our communities. Click to see pics.
UNITY
Location of Sculpture: Broadway Site
This art piece is the very essence of family and unity. Interlocking as one, all the people through the Roberts Family Development Center come together to form a circle of love, support and trust.
